  • Bookmarking events

    [actionlogger]We have built a new feature, where you can ‘bookmark’ your favourite (upcoming) events. These will then show up on your profile page, so you can easily see when registration is opening and have easy access to your favourite events.

    For this feature you need to be a registered user and logged in. If you’re logged in, you then see a button below each event to bookmark it, like the one below.

    This will then also show up on your (new) public profile page, so you can see where your friends are going. We don’t have a public list of users yet, but this will most likely soon change.

    If you have bookmarked at least 1 event, your page will also show a personalised calendar, showing just your events.

  • When I select a country in the search no results show up ?

    If you’re looking in our events search and you find no results, then all events which take place in this country have ended. The search function only searches for future/coming events.

    If you want to look for past ones for which you can check our archive or use the search in the sidebar.

  • Which info would you like to receive when I submit an event ?

    We encourage you to submit your own events to our site. We would like to receive as much info as possible. This is a list of info we can ‘use’.

    • Name of event *
    • Date(s) of event *
    • Location of event (address, city, country) *
    • Type of event; freeride, race, slide jam, boarder X *
    • Allowed disciplines are allowed; standup, street luge, inline, etc. *
    • When does registration start (date/time) ?
    • What’s the registration fee ?
    • What is the rider limit ?
    • Do you have a website ?
    • Do you have a Facebook page ?
    • Do you have a Facebook event ?
    • Do you have a digital flyer/poster ?
    • Do you have a video from last year or a trailer for this year ?
    • The track info (through findhills.com)
    • Any other interesting info you have

  • Can I import an event to my own calendar on phone/computer ?

    Open the event you want to save in your favourite browser. Click the plus icon below the date/time and download the ics file. Open that in your favourite calendar. Click here for more explanation.

  • Can I subscribe to your entire calendar ?

    You can synchronize our calendar with your favorite calendar. Subscribe to this address: http://www.freerides.org/events.ics.

    Do not click the link, because that triggers a download of the file. You need to go to your calendar and add this URL as a new calendar subscription.

  • I have registered for an account but I can’t login.

    After you have registered for a user account, you will receive an (automated) email with a link, to confirm your email address.

    Please also check your spam folder if this doesn’t seem to arrive.

    If nothing has arrived after 15 minutes, contact us.

  • I have a cool new product. Will you review it for us ?

    No, we focus on events/races. There are other sites which can help you out with that. If it’s a new skate wheel, check sk8whls.com.

  • I made/shot/edited a cool video. Can I send it to you ?

    Sure, just send us a link through the contact form but there’s no guarantee we’ll publish it.

  • I’d like to write an event review for you. Are you interested ?

    Of course, send us a message through the contact form.

  • I can’t go, can I get a refund ?

    That depends on the organiser. Generally speaking, refunds are a no-go but it depends on the circumstances. Contact the organiser to get an answer to this question. It might be easier to sell your ticket through the Facebook event page of the freeride/race.

  • I can’t go, can I sell my place ?

    That depends on the organiser. Not every organiser allows it and some have some conditions. You have to ask the organiser to get an answer tot this question.

  • There’s an error in the information I entered.

    No problem, contact us and we’ll correct it.

  • I have paid but I received an email that my registration was rejected/cancelled.

    If you receive an email your booking got cancelled or rejected, it can have several reasons with the most important one ‘not having paid on time’. Ask the organiser for more info. We can’t tell you. We manage the system, not the registrations.

  • I can’t see the registration form.

    You must be a registered user with freerides.org and logged in to register for any event. Click here to login.

  • I have registered for an event, now what ?

    If you have registered, you will most likely receive an confirmation email. It can sometimes go to your spam, but DON’T WORRY if it doesn’t arrive. IT IS NOT IMPORTANT ! All registration/payment can be found on your “registrations page“.

  • I have registered but I haven’t received an email afterwards.

    Don’t worry ! Not important, just go to your personal “registrations page“. All info you need is there.

  • Can I pay in installments ?

    NO !

  • Can someone else register for me ?

    Sometimes. You can let a friend register you with your account or if an event allows more than 1 registration, you can be added as a +1, but this depends on the event. Not all events allow more than 1 registration per account.

  • Why do I have to fill out my information again on the booking form ?

    You have to fill it out again, because you can also register for someone else.

  • Can someone else pay for me ?

    Yes, BUT… you must use always use this description listed on the payment info page.

  • I have paid but am I not on the riders list ?

    The organiser handles/checks the payments manually. Please allow him some time to verify/approve the payments.

  • I have a question about my payment.

    We don’t have any insight on payments. We only control the system which is used to register for an event. You pay directly to the organiser who manages the payments in the system. We don’t know more than you can see on your registrations page.

  • I haven’t received the confirmation email.

    There are 2 confirmation emails, both are sent automatically. Always check your spam folder first.

    1. The confirmation email to activate your account. If you haven’t received this contact us.
    2. The confirmation email you receive after registration is not necessary to pay/complete your registration. You can find all necessary info on your personal page.
